I am a Seattle-based psychotherapist with a unique history of working in academic medicine at teaching hospitals in Texas. My experience working with doctors, nurses, medical students, and everyday people facing health challenges was invaluable to my understanding of the healthcare world.

I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Seattle University. I completed my clinical internship at Navos, a large community mental health facility in Burien, WA, where I worked with underserved and vulnerable populations. In addition to sitting with individual clients, I co-facilitated an art therapy group for chronic pain and conditions and an interpersonal process group for grief and loss. I graduated from SU in June 2025 and currently practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate.

My training is rooted in humanistic principles of psychology that focus on the person as a whole - mind, body, spirit, environment, life circumstances, and personal history. Humanistic approaches empower the individual to invest in their personal values, build self-awareness, and make their own meaning in life based on one’s inherent personal wisdom. Rather than focusing on diagnoses and clinical checkboxes, the client is the expert of their own experience.

I am interested in life’s big questions, and do not shy away from difficult topics. I feel passionately about connecting with my clients around their personal challenges, philosophical musings, and deep emotions.

In my personal life, I am a lifelong learner and avid reader. I enjoy studying languages, swimming, and enjoying the small joys in life with family and friends. I love animals and the natural world. I live in Seattle with my husband and our two tabby cats.
